The Pura Vida Foundation empowers youth and communities by providing equitable access to sports, education, and career development opportunities. Through funding, partnerships, and community engagement, we support underserved youth-serving organizations to remove financial barriers, promote inclusion, and inspire the next generation of athletes, creators, and leaders.

To create equitable opportunities for young people by building a future where every child, regardless of background or financial circumstance, can participate in sports, pursue education, and access career pathways in sports media, broadcasting, and leadership through community support, partnerships, and philanthropy.

The Pura Vida Foundation was born from the belief that sports and media have the power to transform lives, build community, and create opportunities. As an extension of TICO’s commitment to sports broadcasting and community storytelling, the foundation was created to ensure that the impact of sports goes beyond the screen and into the neighborhoods and communities that inspire it.  Through TICO’s presence across professional sports markets and broadcast platforms, the foundation connects corporate partnerships, community organizations, and youth programs to create pathways for young people who may not otherwise have access to sports participation, media careers, or educational opportunities. By aligning sports media influence with philanthropic action, the foundation helps amplify underrepresented voices while supporting youth development, teamwork, and leadership.  The Pura Vida Foundation represents TICO’s broader promise to give back to the communities that support the games, athletes, and stories we share every day, turning sports entertainment into real-world opportunity and lasting social impact.
